Template:Disambig/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Disambig (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Usage

This template adds pages to Category:Disambiguations and gives a description about disambiguations. This template should be placed on top of disambiguation pages only. This template also categorizes the page it is on, so there is no need to add another category at the end of the page. Disambiguation page titles should be in this format: [page name] (disambiguation). Disambig pages should have three or more topics, otherwise, use a page redirect and a {{Redirect}} template.

If a link led you here, you may want to change the link to point directly to the correct article. Mercury can relate to three different topics: Mercury (planet) — the closest planet to the sun Mercury (element) — a metallic element Mercury (mythology) — a Roman god
